Apolo’s story is unfortunately a story that is constantly repeated in Spain. I started working in animal protection 15 years ago and hundreds of dogs like him have been discarded and treated like rubbish on the street or in kennels.
A few days ago Apollo was left tied up at the door of the animal shelter. When I arrived he was sitting, waiting. His gaze was broken, his soul needed a hug.
Apollo is a wonderful dog that humans have not known how to treat. He is a sociable and fun dog with people and other animals, he also loves children. He walks great on a leash and is very clean, it is very sad to think that he has had a home before, that he has possibly enjoyed a sofa…until they got tired of him.
I can feel the cold in my body when I think of the moment when he saw his family walk away, while he stayed tied to the door of the shelter. All of us volunteers do our best to make his heart forget the past and he returns love, affection…there are no hard feelings.
Apolo needs an active family, a family that enjoys walks in the countryside, a family full of love. Help us to give Apolo a second chance, if you look in his eyes, you can see infinite nobility. Write us if you have fallen in love.
