Characteristics:
- Sweet, sensitive and calm — a noble little dog with a lot of love to give
- Sociable with other dogs, regardless of size or gender
- Walks beautifully on the lead, relaxed and without pulling, once she accepts it
- Needs time, patience and a calm hand to discover that she is already safe
History and personality:
Fay arrived at the shelter after being found alone on the street. We don’t know her history, but we can see the marks it has left on her. She is a dog who still lives on high alert, who doesn’t allow herself to be touched easily and for whom something as simple as a lead seems to be a completely new experience.
Every day we work with her to help her build confidence and to show her that she no longer needs to be afraid. And although there is still a way to go, Fay constantly shows us the wonderful dog hiding behind her insecurities. Because as soon as she manages to relax and feels she can trust, something beautiful happens: she melts completely. She comes closer, lies down beside us and seeks physical contact with a tenderness that is deeply moving.
Little by little, the real Fay is beginning to emerge: curious, affectionate and full of light. The company of other dogs gives her a great deal of confidence, though she can also be on her own. We are certain that her fear is something she will be able to overcome, because behind that tense body and cautious gaze is a young dog who simply wants to feel protected and loved.
What she needs:
We are looking for a patient and respectful home for Fay, one willing to accompany her through this process and give her all the time she needs to blossom. She just needs a calm hand, a gentle voice and someone who can give her the security she probably never had. We are certain that whoever opens their heart to her will discover an exceptional companion.
Veterinary information:
Vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and with an EU passport. To be spayed shortly. Awaiting results of infectious disease tests, though she appears to be in good health.
