{"id":4364,"date":"2022-02-19T17:26:31","date_gmt":"2022-02-19T17:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/santuariolacandela.com\/uncategorized\/santi\/"},"modified":"2022-03-25T14:35:36","modified_gmt":"2022-03-25T14:35:36","slug":"santi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/santuariolacandela.com\/en\/adopt\/santi\/","title":{"rendered":"Santi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NAME Santi&#13;\nMestizo RACE&#13;\nmale SEX&#13;\nBORN 1\/July\/2012&#13;\nHEIGHT 40cm&#13;\nWEIGHT 7.9 kg (his weight has risen since his last record)&#13;\nCASTRATED yes&#13;\nANALYSIS yes. negative to all Mediterranean diseases&#13;\nOTHERS: Santi comes from a very difficult rescue, he has lived years in very extreme conditions&#13;\nand it has some anxious-aggressive traits with strangers that we continue to deal with every day.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Little Santi has not been lucky, we never thought that after so much time he still&#13;\nshe would still be waiting for a family, after everything we already knew she had suffered.&#13;\nSanti was rescued from a tremendous No\u00e9 syndrome in Asturias, we crossed half of Spain&#13;\nto save more than twelve dogs from a really extreme situation, more than four years ago&#13;\nyears.&#13;\nSince then, Santi has been waiting at the animal shelter.&#13;\nSanti has a special sensitivity that makes him a different dog, he has lived through hell in his&#13;\nprevious life that has caused great traumas, some of them deep inside his heart.&#13;\nDespite the years , the love of the volunteers and the regular consultations with ethologists Santi continues&#13;\nbeing very anxious with some aggressive groups, especially with strangers: what&#13;\nmakes it extremely difficult to find a family with a big heart and experience to give&#13;\nan opportunity.&#13;\nSanti walks with us without any problem, he is sociable, plays, jumps and allows himself to be manipulated completely&#13;\nbut he is very suspicious of people he does not know and this can last for a few&#13;\nweeks, until he is confident enough.&#13;\nIt is suitable to live with cats but sometimes living in large groups with other dogs&#13;\nhas caused many problems: his anxiety makes other more balanced dogs not&#13;\nwant in the group, so in the animal shelter he lives alone \u2639&#13;\nHe interacts with other dogs (females and males) without problem but always under our&#13;\nsupervision. Despite the great character that Santi sometimes shows, he is a small dog and&#13;\nit could be dangerous for him to live with other dogs at night in the shelter.&#13;\nWe are sure that in a real house many of these things would be fixed and that&#13;\ncould lead a peaceful and normal life with other dogs in the family.
